Ricoh’s game-changing technology paves the way for profitable print.

Ricoh Production Print Solutions offer highly tailored, innovative, end-to-end digital production solutions for print providers. Ricoh will showcase several of its innovative colour production print technologies at PrintEx15, including the game-changing Pro C7110X Series, Pro L4130/L4160 and Pro C9110.

Aimed at design, marketing, commercial print, quick print, mailing, book publishing and in-plant print centre organisations, Ricoh’s production print offerings include digital presses, and production workflow solutions including web-to-print, variable data printing and production management.

John Hall, managing director at Ricoh Australia, says, “Ricoh has made significant investments to strengthen its team to launch these new innovations. We are looking forward to making an impact in the Australian marketplace.”

Innovation is a part of Ricoh’s DNA. Worldwide the company constantly researches industry trends, consumer and buyer behaviour, so that it can develop and launch cutting-edge technologies.

Last year, Ricoh invested 5.5 per cent of its global turnover of $24bn in Research and Development. A significant portion of this was spent on production printing technologies. For example, the newly launched Pro C7110X Series is Ricoh’s fifth generation of Colour Digital Press series within five years.

Raj Chandiok, national sales manager at Ricoh Australia says, “The Pro C7110X Series is a game-changing technology product. It has got the potential to grow our customers’ business, add new revenue streams and change the way they print, making it an incredibly exciting product.”

Alan Rye, managing director of Razer Graphix was the first adopter of the Ricoh Pro 7110X in Australia. He says, “We wanted to upgrade our machines, looked at what was available in the market place and decided to partner with Ricoh. No one else had something in that price range that we wanted to explore, so we purchased the Ricoh Pro C7110X for its ability to print a six-page A4 brochure. Its textured stock capability, and the new white and clear toner feature were the deciding factors. We also purchased the Ricoh Pro C901 and have had these devices in production now for the last two months. So far we are extremely happy.”

John Hall said, “Our theme at PrintEx15 is – Dream it. Do it. – which will provide the backdrop to demonstrate how customers can take advantage of these innovations to grow their revenues profitably. Ricoh will have a raft of innovative print samples available to showcase the capabilities of these products and to inspire potential customers to the possibilities of digital print.” The Ricoh stand will include a Premium Partner zone where prospective customers can speak to existing customers to get an unbiased view on the value of partnering with Ricoh.

Ricoh’s Vendor Workshop will be delivered by progressive print and digital marketing company, OnePoint. This small offset printing company has created a new vision in a sustainable landscape, successfully opening up new opportunities. OnePoint’s managing director, Kerim El Gabaili will share the best and worst decisions made along the way, as well as the lessons learnt. Also on display at the stand will be Ricoh’s Production Workflow Solutions Suite.

Ricoh will run live demonstrations to produce fully-finished, three-dimensional print applications on the Ricoh Pro C9110, Ricoh Pro C7110x and the Ricoh Pro L4160 series. In addition, visitors can view a technology presentation on the new continuous feed inkjet, digital Ricoh Pro VC60000 colour press, which, due to its sheer size, will not be showcased on the stand.

PrintEx15 visitors can see the Ricoh offerings and meet customers and partners by visiting Stand 1115.

Latest innovations

The Ricoh Pro C7110X digital press series provides key operators the flexibility to change from white to clear, or clear to white in a simple 10-minute process. This series can automatically duplex up to 360 gsm and print on a maximum sheet size of 700mm by 330mm from a vacuum-fed banner tray. This opens the door to new markets by producing impressive banners as well as three-panel A4 brochures allowing for bleed and crop marks. The addition of the new vacuum feed option further enhances the ability of the device to handle a wide range of difficult media to increase the options to the end user.

The Ricoh Pro C9110 is aimed at volume-users looking to capitalise on growing digital print volumes and transitioning offset volumes quickly and efficiently. With the capability of 1 million prints per month, this high-speed, high-quality CMYK device will offer printers a viable alternative to producing offset print within a digital volume platform.

The Ricoh Pro L4130/L4160 wide format colour printers enable users to produce real-life reproduction quality for signs, banners, wraps, point-of-sale displays and more. They add orange, white and green to the standard CMYK setup so customers can have more colour options and increased colour gamut for exceptional results.

The Ricoh Pro VC60000 can produce nearly 100,000 A4 images per hour at print resolutions of up to 1200 by 1200 dots per inch, so it is ideal for organisations looking to shift from offset to digital printing to increase profitability.
